Mail Boxes Etc. (“MBE”) was founded in San Diego, California (USA) in 1980.

In 2001, UPS Inc. acquired Mail Boxes Etc., and in 2003 began a rebranding in the United States and Canada, where mbe network centers were transformed into “The UPS Store” centers.

In 2009, MBE Worldwide SpA, a holding company based in Milan, Italy, acquired a worldwide network of MBE centers (except centers in North America).

In 2017, MBE Worldwide acquired two U.S.-based companies, PostNet International Franchise and AlphaGraphics, to expand its network of service centers in the U.S., Canada, South Africa, and other countries.

In 2017, MBE Worldwide also acquired a controlling stake in spedingo’s logistics market.

As an interesting fact, it is worth noting the opening of at least one new MBE center every working day.
